Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and addressing employee workspace requirements for the Rochester area buildings and grounds. Assists with the safety and security of assigned buildings.
Responsibilities
- Completes day-to-day work requests assigned by the Sr. Facilities Assistant or Building Coordinator. Assists with performing internal moves at all buildings.
- Assists in maintaining the appearance of assigned building, both inside and outside. Includes picking up debris found on grounds and/or parking lot, maintenance of woodwork, blinds, carpeting, tile, etc.
- Assists in maintaining safety at assigned building. Includes maintenance of entryways, floors, parking lot, etc.
- Perform room setup for classes/events; including removing or rearranging furniture and power supplies.
- Address plumbing leaks, clogs or other drainage problems, rebuild/repair toilets.
- Complete basic carpentry repairs.
- Assemble, repair, maintain and move furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves and related fittings and fixtures.
- Assist Sr. Facilities Assistant with maintenance and repair of mechanical systems.
- Retrieve and deliver confidential totes, containing sensitive material. Deliver material to dock to be picked up and disposed of by outside vendor.
- Responsible for changing lighting (including ballasts) throughout assigned building(s) and brings issues to the attention of the Sr. Facilities Assistant or Building Coordinator.
- Maintains an understanding of the fire system in assigned building(s). Assists with fire drills, maintenance of fire system, system problems, etc.
- Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
- Ensure facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in safe and clean condition.
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma – Required
- 2 years of experience in maintenance related fields, plumbing, electric, mechanical.
- Demonstrates customer service skills.
- Must have valid driver’s license – Required
- Full Time 7:30AM-4:00PM
- $18.00-$19.00 an hour
