Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for MCC Service Desk operations including all financial transactions, providing informational resources, and coordinating event reservations and rentals.

Desk Operations:

  • Serve as Service Desk Attendant.
  • Order all Service Desk forms and supplies.
  • Maintain information sources at the Service Desk (Policies and Procedures Manual, Club Key Access List,
  • Information Binder, and Trip Manual).
  • Receive and disburse money transactions for MCC Association – Residence Life, Food for Thought, meal
  • money, copiers, lockers, and video games.
  • Serve as an informational resource to students, faculty, and the college community by providing responses to
  • questions related to student financial transactions, college events, and giving directions to college offices and
  • buildings.
  • Log monthly desk activity.

Cash-outs:

  • Responsible for all cash-outs and their readiness for reconciliation. Balance cash drawers on a daily basis.
  • Enter cash-outs in Financial Edge.
  • Enter club deposits in Financial Edge.

Photo ID:

  • Print all Photo IDs including replacements.
  • Assist in maintaining sufficient inventory levels of ID Cards and printer ribbons.

Van Rentals:

  • Complete required paperwork for all Association Van Rentals.
  • Oversee schedule for usage.

Event Operations:

  • Assist in the coordination of all event setups in the Forum, Brick Lounge, and Terrace Lounge.
  • Assist in the coordination of all event setups for all Student Association events held on the Brighton campus.
  • Assist in the operation of certain Student Association off-campus events.

Dreamkeepers:

  • Disburse Dreamkeepers and Wegman’s Grant gift cards.
  • Maintain inventory levels of gift cards and assist in ordering as needed.

Business Office Operations:

  • Assist with maintaining all office equipment, ordering supplies, and supervising and training student employees on operational protocol and customer service skills.
  • Assist with the use of the Break Room to include staffing the office with student workers, facilitating repair of pool tables and other equipment, ordering supplies, coordinating vendor cash-outs, and supervising and training student staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant to include back-up for Accounts Payable, Meal Plan reconciliation, and special projects.

 


Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
  • Experience with cash registers, calculators, and math skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to a wide variety of customers in a reliable manner
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and promptly handle last-minute urgencies
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Full COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with photo ID systems
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workflows
