JOB SUMMARY:

Using engineering principles and design software, the Electrical Engineer helps to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability. The Electrical Engineer is also responsible for planning and coordinating facilities projects, which may include any of the following items: architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fueling, and/or fire safety. This is an entry-level position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Utilizes computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Directs and coordinates construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements.
  • Inspects completed installations and observes operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • May be involved in developing budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs, and procurement.
  • Ensures that life safety systems (fire alarms, sprinkler systems and generators) are maintained and functioning as designed and that future installations are consistent with company standards.
  • Ensures that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are maintained and functioning as designed and that future systems are consistent with company standards.
  • Assists with the management of the company’s zero-emission master plan and sustainability plan.
  • Assists with the implementation and monitoring of a zero-emission fleet.
  • Ability to respond at various hours to address issues that may arise at company facilities that require the Engineering and Facilities Management department assistance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • 0-2 years’ experience working in Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
