Sutherland is seeking an energetic, creative, organized and reliable person to join us as a Receptionist for our NEW 180-person Pittsford location!  We are a group of driven and supportive individuals. Receptionists in this role get to:
Keep things running:   Help coordinate, schedule and plan meetings, client/executive visits, events and activities; manage supplies inventory and assets.  Order, retrieve and/or receive food orders for executive and/or client visits; includes food/event setup and break down. Keep corporate break room clean, organized and stocked.
Keep Sutherland aligned:  Ensure compliance to standard procedures and policies; maintain proper filing of papers and documents.
Be the point-of-contact:  Coordinate with vendors and other departmental members to ensure proper management/maintenance of the facility and supplies.
Support the team:  Assist with creation and delivery of new hire packages as needed; assist in new hire orientation and tasks; complete tasks such as printing, laminating, sorting, mail retrieval/sorting as needed.
Strengthen relationships:  Bring a proactive, positive and engaging attitude and personality to the facility and overall operation; prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.  Field incoming calls and facilitate connecting caller too.

Qualifications:

Our most successful candidate will have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate in a clear, constructive and professional manner.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a receptionist in a corporate setting.
  • Experience managing a multi-line phone system.
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful in finding effective solutions to problems and situations.
  • Reliability in following through with commitments and responsibilities.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time and keep track of multiple schedules, meetings and initiatives.
  • Ability to work in MS Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
