Hours: 37.5 Hours per week which we consider full time. We would also consider a person who is more interested in a 30/ week schedule. Start times vary by branch and the day of the week. Start time would not be before 8 or after 5 no matter what branch or day of the week.
What we are looking for: We need someone who absolutely loves working with people. We are a small credit union and our number one draw is that people feel like they are part of a family here. Applicant needs to be totally upbeat. I want every member to walk out the door feeling better about life than when they came in. Teller experience is a must! We need someone who can handle banking software, understands banking, and can handle multiple details with near perfect accuracy. We use the same teller software as a number of other credit unions in the area including ESL Federal Credit Union. Because we are a small credit union, we have to have someone who is dependable – to be short-handed by one person makes a big difference when you only have ten employees spread out between three locations. The pace can get a bit hectic at times, but the flow of members and their needs is generally more moderate. We have other duties that fill in the cracks of the day to keep it interesting. We have no quotas for opening accounts or cross selling – our purpose is to serve our members, not to try and sell them something that they may not really need.
Job entails: Taking in Deposits; issuing checks; transferring funds from one account to another; opening accounts; updating member information; reviewing transaction history with members to help them understand account activity; helping members with online banking and WIT App issues; issuing Debit Cards; and of course, “other duties as assigned.” You may move between branches during the course of a week.
