Center For the Study of Civil and Human Rights Laws (CFSCHRL)
About Us
Many years ago Rochester civil rights attorney Van White opened the Center For the Study of Civil and Human Rights Laws (CFSCHRL) in the former home of Susan B. Anthony’s Lawyer – Judge Samuel Selden. The CFSCHRL not only serves as a place where individuals can seek legal representation for vindication of their rights but the CFSCHRL also serves as a place where citizens can learn and mobilize around their rights. Consequently, our mission is to not only represent and advocate for people in the courtroom but to educate and mobilize citizens to effectuate change in and around their community. Accordingly, all CFSCHRL employees and volunteers are expected to share this mission as well.
