At the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC), we ignite a passion for lifelong learning and equip our community with the foundational skills, knowledge, and understanding of the technologies needed to help solve society’s most pressing challenges. We take pride in providing exciting and interactive experiences for the community and, in order to do that, we have to take pride in our team. 
 
The mission of the RMSC (which encompasses the Museum, Strasenburgh Planetarium, and Cumming Nature Center) is to inspire a better future for all through curiosity, exploration, and participation in science, culture, and the natural world. This mission guides our approach to team building, ensuring we create a welcoming place for all employees with opportunities to share ideas and feedback that make a concrete impact and help the organization grow. Our core values, of community, innovation, excellence, lifelong learning, and integrity guide our work and interactions with each other and our visitors. 
 
The RMSC is a place that provides the inspiration and tools for visitors to follow their own curiosity, where they can experience new delight and wonder upon each visit or dive into specific subjects to participate in solving the deepest challenges of our times. It is a place where everyone – both visitors and staff – is encouraged to follow their own unique journey.
